Welcome to the Awatere Cottage, which is nestled in a rural setting on Awatere Station near Waikaia. This is a modern, well appointed cottage with its own entrance and magnificent views of farmland and the bush clad Argyle hills. Wake to the chorus of bird song and the sound of a nearby stream. The undercover veranda has outdoor furniture plus a BBQ. Perfect for a rural getaway with world class fly fishing on the Waikaia or Mataura Rivers which is an easy drive away.

The space
This is a spacious modern self contained cottage, with thoughtful touches. It has high ceilings, all day sun and is fully insulated, doubled glazed, own access, fully fenced & plenty of free onsite parking. It is well appointed (new carpet) All the beds have luxurious feather & down duvets, quality pillows, wool blankets and underlays, electric blankets.
Well appointed kitchen/laundry with washing machine, a full cook top, oven, microwave, new crockery and cutlery, pots, pans, coffee plunger, assorted tea's and BBQ outside.
The bathroom is modern with a new vanity, heated towel rail, large sink area, and shower. Plenty of towels available.
The living area has free WiFi, TV with Sky, heating. It has large sliding doors to admire the view and let the sun in.
Awatere is a 3000 ha sheep and cattle station, so this also is a perfect spot for families, couples, hunters and fishermen and offers visitors a refreshing change from the more tourist orientated centres.
The cottage provides a private space where you can retreat and relax in comfort. A local fishing guide can be arranged. Come and enjoy.
